As always there are challenges facing Removals Companies. Removals Customers seem to have more Stuff in recent years a typical 3 Bedroom property may have been around 1200 to 1500 Cubic Ft and a 4 Bedroom Property would easily fit onto an 18 tonne 2000 Cubic Ft Pantechnicon vehicle. Nowadays a Typical 3 Bedroom House is coming in on average at about 2000 cubic ft and a 4 Bedroom property at around 2500 cubic ft.
We think the challenges we all face are
- How can we keep Removals Prices keen whilst delivering a quality removals service to customers
- When we consider buying additional removals Vehicles how do we get the right vehicle for the job not BIG enough then additional vehicles would be required which in turn will escalate removals prices in terms of Fuel, Drivers also access issues such as tight roads etc.
- Escalating fuel prices
- Higher Removals and Vehicle Insurance costs that rise year on Year
- Price comparison sites that now is part of that consumer led need for cheaper removals prices
The truth is that as Removalists we all face a difficult and uncertain time what with the countries decision to Brexit Europe I believe has had a profound effect on not just the removals industry but many other businesses around the country and will continue for the foreseeable future.
We do not have all the answers and whilst we believe we are experts in our field we are not unique there are hundreds of quality removals companies the length and breadth of the UK facing the same challenges as us.
The Transporter Removals heading in a new direction
The Transporter Removals is reshaping its fleet from the more traditional form of removals vehicles and opting for a fleet of trailers for every occasion and size of removals. Wether long haul removals or around the doors whilst this is not a new concept to removals we feel this will keep insurance costs lower but also fuel costs too. Not withstanding buying a separate vehicle for every possible occasion.
